Abnormal heating of dry-type transformers can facilitate the aging of insulation materials and deterioration of winding performance
and subsequently cause safety accidents
posing a serious threat to equipment safety and the reliable operation of power systems. We prepared a thermochromic silicone rubber composite coating for detecting abnormal heating in dry-type transformers by using crystal violet lactone as the chromogenic agent
bisphenol A as the chromogenic agent
and neopentyl glycol as the solvent. The thermochromic compound was prepared and the optimal ratio (1:2:50) was selected. A thermochromic silicone rubber composite coating was prepared by combining it with polymer room temperature vulcanized (PRTV) anti-fouling flash coating. The experimental results show that the color change temperature range of the coating is 90~126 ℃
the color change time is 29 seconds
and the color reproduction time is 16 seconds. The flashover voltage along the surface is between 15.6~16.4 kV
and the thermal conductivity is between 0.067 1~ 0.071 8 W/(m·K). It has good resistance to acids
alkalis and salts. Through targeted thin-coating application schemes
it can achieve visual monitoring of temperature changesin areas such as the windings of dry-type transformers
providing an effective means for preventing equipment failures and safety incidents caused by overheating.
