Deep and ultra-deep hydrocarbons are important substitute resources in China. However, the ultra-high downhole temperature raises stringent requirements on the sealing performance of wiper plugs in liner cementing. To understand the mechanical properties of rubber materials for liner wiper plugs under ultra-high temperature, uniaxial tensile tests were performed on fluororubbers HK7596B and AFLAS under normal-temperature, high-temperature and aging conditions. The stress-strain test data were fitted by the least square method, hyperelastic constitutive models of HK7596B under the three working conditions were established, and the errors between the test and fitting data were analyzed. The results show that the tensile strength and elongation at break of the two fluororubbers present no considerable change under normal-temperature and aging conditions, but significant reductions under high-temperature condition. HK7596B exhibits higher tensile strength and elongation at break under normal-temperature, aging and high-temperature conditions than AFLAS, indicating better mechanical properties and greater suitability as a material for liner wiper plugs. The second-order Mooney-Rivlin model yields the fitting results in the best agreement with the test data, so it is more suitable for characterizing the mechanical properties of HK7596B as the material for wiper plugs. As the environmental condition changes from normal temperature to high temperature and then to the aging state, the von Mises stress of the plug evolves in a nonlinear manner from increasing and then stabilizing, and the plug’s contact sealing performance tends to enhance gradually with the progress of thermal-oxidative aging. The research findings provide theoretical guidance for the material selection and design of wiper plugs.
